Peony Shadows
Peony Shadows blends late Arts and Crafts influences with traditional Japanese form and a textile-driven understanding of rhythm and tone. The surface evokes the appearance of hand block printing over a velvet-like ground where a deep black-olive tone anchors the coral blooms and sage-grey foliage. Medium scale motifs with soft tonal transitions create a calm yet atmospheric presence.

Color palette
The palette consists of coral bloom, deep black-olive, sage ash and pale parchment tones, creating a restrained harmony that reflects early twentieth-century natural pigments. These colours emphasise the atmospheric depth of the layered shadows and the softness of the simulated textile surface.
Complementing colors
Coral Bloom, Black Olive, Sage Ash, Pale Parchment
The surface resembles velvet with a matte, subtly grained nap that softens transitions in the black-olive ground. Brushed tonal fields, small irregularities and layered shadow areas contribute to a hand-rendered feel, with the print simulating hand block techniques. Depth arises from overlapping silhouettes, soft halos and the gentle diffusion of pigment across the ground.
Gilded Indigo Flora
The "Gilded Indigo Flora" collection merges William Morris' design language with a traditional Japanese color palette. By blending linocut and woodblock printing, it creates an elegant and harmonious collection with rich textures.
