Benefits of Linlava
Grand Chalkflowers of Visby
With softly washed florals climbing a chalky ground, this grand-scale wallpaper captures Visbys limestone walls and garden blooms. It simulates the matte grain of handmade paper and the gentle, slightly misregistered feel of surface woodblock printing, evoking Nordic Arts & Crafts heritage. The repeat is 100 cm with enlarged blossoms for a mural-like presence.
Fits in
- Ideal for serene bedrooms
- Living rooms
- Dining rooms
- Heritage homes
- Boutique hotels and generous hallways where a one meter repeat can breathe.
Color palette
A pale, weathered palette sits under a thin chalk veil. Visby limestone and sea-mist lilac ground the wall, while moorland sage leaves, chalk petal neutrals and weathered blush petals are touched by pollen ochre, like sun on an old paper fresco.
The surface resembles handmade paper with a dry, fibrous grain and soft undulation. Color lays down as a chalky wash with feathered edges and slight mottling where pigments nestle into the paper tooth. Subtle misregistration between outline and fill simulates surface woodblock printing, and the stems carry a faint raised drag as if rolled onto the wall. These irregularities create quiet depth and a tactile, mural calm.
Pale Veil
The Pale Veil Collection lets us at Linlava show our uncompromising view on texture. The motifs are toned down with surgical control over value and saturation, and every drop carries small, intentional shifts. The wall reads crafted and refined, not embellished, and gives the room breathing space.
We start from historical printing principles and materiality and translate them digitally. Thin, glaze-like layers simulate pigment settling into fibres; contours receive controlled, subtle transitions. The chalk-matte surface with grain, fibre flecks and micro-roughness, delivers the handcrafted materiality we pursue.
Pale Veil is made for spaces that want character and a sense of quiet luxury: living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways. The surface pairs especially well with wood, stone, wool and linen, and leaves room to add further layers of pattern, a pronounced skirting/baseboard, and art on the walls.
