Benefits of Linlava
Myrtus Knots
Dense myrtle branches knot and layer across a muted green gray ground, ivory berries catching light among tonal foliage. The surface evokes a fine petit point tapestry, where tonal depth is built through stipple engraving rather than drawn line, recalling the verdure hangings of Aubusson and Felletin. A small-scale allover repeat with no visible join, designed to read as continuous foliage at room distance.

Color palette
A restrained tonal palette built within a narrow olive-to-stone range. The palette recalls the faded greens of aged verdure tapestries, where centuries of light have compressed a once-vivid botanical scheme into a close-valued harmony of moss, lichen, and weathered linen. Ivory berries provide the only sharp contrast, functioning as embroidered highlights against the muted field.
Complementing colors
The ground resembles a fine petit point or jacquard tapestry weave. A regular diagonal grid of micro-marks builds the entire surface, visible at close range as a dense textile grain. Tonal variation is achieved not through line or flat fill but through shifts in mark density, echoing the way woven tapestries modulate tone through thread tension and colour blending. The effect simulates stipple engraving: an even, granular field from which lighter forms are drawn forward and darker tones recede. Under raking light the surface reads as woven cloth rather than printed paper.
