Repetitions that Rhymes
A homage and elevation of heritage wallpapers
A new category of wallpapers designed & printed in Scandinavia
We’ve created a new category of wallpapers, where elements rhyme rather than repeat. Every object shifts subtly, giving each repetition its own character. Taking the best from historical printing techniques and textures, we recreate rich, authentic textures visually, transforming the atmosphere of a room.
Everything is designed and printed in our hometown - Linköping, Sweden.

Linlava – More Than Just a Pattern
Linlava's designs are rooted in variation, texture, and history. Our patterns capture the essence of traditional textures and historical printing techniques, but above all, they are defined by our rhyming, rather than repeating objects.
1. Visual Texture
Linlava captures and recreates the feel of authentic materials through digital printing with a precision unmatched by others. We go beyond patterns, integrating texture and character of printing techniques to craft wallpapers with a unique sophistication and vibrancy.
2. Honest way to purchase
We've introduced the first honest way to buy wallpapers. You pay for the wallpaper you put up. Not for doors, diagonals, windows. Both when buying roles and per m2, you pay for wallpaper you don't want. Not with us. Try it out here.
4. Variation in our repetitions
For more than the length of a wall, all objects are looked at and worked with. In every pattern, objects repeat, but with subtle variations that reflect an individual, pre-industrial expression. No two birds are identical here each repetition has its own character.
3. A new type of Heritage
At Linlava, we master the art of blending historical printing methods with modern technology to create patterns with depth and character. Each wallpaper captures a genuine atmosphere, shaped by craftsmanship and history.

What Is "Variation i Varje Våd"?
With our objects varying instead of strictly repeating, we aim to break away from the industrial and mass-produced, reintroducing vibrant artistry into our wallpaper collections. Every time you glance at your wall, you’ll discover something new—a subtle change, an unexpected shade, a detail in the pattern that catches your eye in a fresh way. It’s a tribute to the artists who once painted beautiful, repetitive patterns directly onto walls, and to the Arts and Crafts movement, which, like us, responded to mass production 150 years ago with innovative methods and techniques.
When you see a Linlava wallpaper with fifty identical birds, step closer and notice their beaks, feathers, and wings. Each has its own character. Variation in every panel.
